ok, so here's what I think. I'll take this opportunity to show my point of view about what the-elite website should be about, so that's why it's a long post.

What should the visitor have in sight when he enters the-elite and has no clue of what it's about? Ok, he will see a Bond and a Jo there, so he'll know it's about GE and PD (assuming he has played these games, and that is the visitor we want). Then he will see a big box saying we are the best players in the world, and he'll be like "lolz wtf thats trashz talk", then he will notice that there are some videos on the right side, he's gonna watch any of those, will be like "omgz their fast" and after that he will realize that we play for records. Then he might be interested in taking a look at the latest news, and see if we are updated enough (he'll see that yes, we are). After that, there are many things he can do. He'll watch more videos, or will look for the rankings (the links are easy to find), so: navigate a little, and that's why all the links are distributed at the TOP part of the page. I hate when people put links that you have to scroll down like 2 pages to find what you want. Ok, that being said, let's move on.

Personally, I think it will be hard to fit that slide show or something plus the logo plus the informative box all at the same time. You can't take the logo out, and that box is awesome for giving fast info about important things, so you can't take that out either. Putting the box underneath the logo, you would be taking a very big space. And unless you use a huge resolution, people will barely be able to see the latest news. I'm on a 1200x800 right now and just by imagining that, I can see that the "top" part would take more than half of the screen, so hmm no.

And, well, it's not THAT mportant. I mean, those are cool pictures, meetings are important in many ways, thinking about the-elite as a whole (and not just the fun with friends part, which is the best anyway). It shows a little bit more of "what we are", I mean like the faces and etc, and random people looking the pics might get motivated to see that we're all normal (in a certain way), and we have fun playing videogames etc, so YES you guys should get many pics/videos of meetings and upload them all, it's awesome. BUT, it shouldn't be on the place of something more important to the site itself. If you manage to fit that somewhere without changing the logo, the box and the links being on the top of the page (and not scrolled down), it'd be awesome, really.

A better idea might be using some of those pics on a dynamic logo. Like, there would be like a "template" with a Jo, a Bond and "the-elite blabla". And then, as a background or something like that, different pics of many types. Like that 20-19-19-19 one, or an endscreen of a world record, a screenshot of something nice happenning on a run, stuff like that. But NOT just pictures of dudes, because only a few selected people will understand it. And that's not why Derek is working on the new site, making it way more informative and easy for unknown people to read, know what we are about etc. I guess you get the point.

Sorry for the ultra big post but I really wanted to clear some things up.
